Add TREC to LinkedIn Step-by-Step Guide

- Upload your Information About Brokerage Services form to Google Docs, then open it
- At the top, click the three dots to the left-hand side and then select “Share”
- Click “Advanced”
- Beneath “Who Has Access,” click “Change”
- Select the first option: “Public on the Web,” then save your changes
- Copy the "Link to share"
- Go to TinyURL.com
- Paste your Information About Brokerage Services URL in the box that says, “Enter a long URL to make tiny,” and click “Make TinyURL!”
- Copy your new, shortened IABS URL
- Login to your LinkedIn account and click “Update your profile”
- Select the pencil icon next to “Contact and Personal Info”
- Click “Add Website”
- Paste your IABS URL in the “Website URL” box
- In the dropdown next to your website URL, select “Other”
- A new box will appear that says, “Type (Other).” Title it, “TREC IABS” (the character limit will not allow the full title)
- In a different tab or window, go to TREC.texas.gov. Click on "Consumer Protection Notice," beneath “Popular Forms,” and download it.
- Upload the Consumer Protection Notice form to Google Docs, publish to web, then copy the link to share
- Continue the same process above with your Consumer Protection Notice; make the URL tiny, add a website on LinkedIn, then paste your URL
- All done! Your new TREC links should be listed at the top of your profile beneath, “Websites.”
